About OUR COMMON WEALTH

Welcome to the Beta Launch of OUR COMMON WEALTH

Why ?

We are setting up and maintaining this space because it is an opportunity for something that does not otherwise exist which could make positive effect in the world.

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”  –Gandhi

What ?

A new periodical publication … the first in its field — namely, socially responsible investing (SRI), impact investing, and the contexts in which they occur … news, commentary, information exchange … community-building … freely available …<br>

“What it is – is up to us.” — Howard L Rheingold

Who ?

Addressed to anyone interested in how economics can work in positive ways. Our readers and contributors are not necessarily separate. They include financial advisers, fund managers, government and corporate policy-makers … … people who invest to promote wholesome outcomes, for themselves, and others … and the merely curious …

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizenscan change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”  — Margaret Mead

Where ?

The interweb can connect people from east north west and south. Gliding across boundaries of time and space does not necessarily erase cultural differences. We thus maintain an open perspective, inclusive and post-colonialist.

“Think global, act local.”

How ?

Our future topics and themes include those issues and contexts in which socially responsible investing (SRI) and impact investing occur, such as: activism, balance, currencies, diversity, empowerment, energy, ethics, farming, governance, indigenous rights, momentum, new models, risk, philanthropy, resilience, spirituality, supply chains, sustainability, technology, trust, water.

We support citizen’s journalism and subscribe to traditional journalism ethics.

When ?

“ If not now – when ? “ –Hillel
